REVIEW OF PILOT DEATH

Captain Peter Alfred STANDING QCVSA (April 2002)

Gained his pilots licence before his driving licence, aged 15. Fought in the Falklands campaign where he won the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air. Was undermined and bullied within his airline VAA, and died of CHD aged 55 after raising safety concerns. How widespread are the problems that he encountered? His widow, a professional stress therapist, has raised concerns with airline, CAA and HM Government where she has been met with indifference (so far…2005)
